Helen Rae Campana (nee Todd), 91 of Westlake passed away peacefully on May 2, 2020.

Beloved wife of the late William J. Campana, Sr.

Loving mother of William J. Jr., Corey (Molly), James R., Cathie (Campana) Murphy, Peggy Leaver (David), and Scott A. (Susan).

Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Campana, Jaime Griggs (Zac), Jessica Dragony (Mike), Sarah Hughes (Johnny), Daniel Campana (Vicki), Melissa Michalovic (Justin), Jason Campana (Julie), Amanda Murphy (Larry), Marshall Murphy (April), Katelyn Leaver, Kelsey Gregus (Eric), and Justin Campana.

Adored “Grandma Great” of Madelyn, Avery, Emerson, Josey, Helana, Ross, Charlotte, Maris, Paige, Gwynn, Alex, Addie, Carson, Chase, and William.

Helen retired as the head cook at Westlake High School, where for many years she prepared thousands of meals for the Demons Club Spaghetti Dinner fundraisers.  The family will always remember her spaghetti sauce, rivel soup, Christmas cookies and Italian pretzels. Helen was a card shark and was looking forward to the reopening of the local senior centers so she could play bingo. She was also anxious for her Indians to start playing, as she never missed a game on TV.

She loved her family fiercely, and attended every school concert, visitation, graduation, and sporting event she could. Treasured by each and every grandchild and great-grandchild is the hand-stitched quilt Grandma lovingly made for them when they were born.

Private family services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial at Lakewood Park Cemetery.

May you rest in peace Mrs. Campana. Thank you for some of my most pleasant memories of my childhood. Thinking back you were almost like a second mom to me. Couldn't say how many spaghetti dinners I had. Your backdoor was always open to us kids --- even with the controlled chaos with 6 of your own.
Love you Mrs. C.

So sorry to hear of Mrs. C passing. She was always kind to all the kids in the Arthur Avenue neighborhood and was part of our childhood.
Her blackberry pie was phenomenal.
