Mary Jennie Vetrone

July 02, 1934 ‐ September 20, 2020
Mary Jennie Vetrone
Birthplace: Erie, Pennsylvania Resided In: Avon Lake, Ohio

Jennie had a beautiful partnership with Bob, her husband of 63 years. She passed away at her home on September 20, 2020 at the age of 86. Jennie is survived by her children, Susan (Chris), Robert and Nancy Vetrone Price (Hugh).  She will be remembered as “Mama” to her grandchildren, Christian and Natalie Price.  Preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Cosimo Iacovetta, she was the caring sister to Roselie Tucker (Elliot) of Gainsville, FL and Carol Iacovetta of Erie, PA, and niece of Anna West (Harry).  Nothing made her happier than being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

As the matriarch of the family, Jennie was not only a guiding force and role model, but a woman with vision who inspired many.  While raising her family, she also enjoyed a successful career.

Jennie was an accomplished artist with many talents and interests, and her creative spirit will continue to inspire.

Our family would like to thank Eilene Deeter who was a good friend and caregiver to Jennie over the last two years.  Remembrance will be private. Jennie lived an exemplary life and will be deeply missed by friends and family.

I will miss you cousin Jennie. May you rest in peace. To Susan, Bobby and Nancy: I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. She was a great lady. So kind, warm and fun. I will always think of her as a second mother. She and Bob were great role models and were the source of many great family memories. May those memories be a source of comfort to you all at this time. Thinking of you and sending you love and virtual hugs.

What great parents you had. And a wonderful job all their children did in caring for them in their later years.
