Amy Margaret Sords
Birthplace: Westlake, Ohio Resided In: Bay Village, Ohio Visitation: March 30, 2021 Service: March 30, 2021

Amy Margaret Sords, 33, was suddenly taken away from us much too soon on March 24, 2021.  Amy had a compassionate heart for all those in vulnerable situations.  She had an innate ability to seek help for others even though it was difficult with finding it for herself.  We trust that she is finally at peace in Heaven with the Lord.

Amy had a love for the fun things in life:  music, concerts, pets (cats and dogs), traveling, outdoor adventures, painting/drawing, gardening, and trivia/board games along with just spending time with her friends. Everyone who knew her would agree that she was a highly intelligent young lady; her ability to debate could have led to a career in the law profession.

Amy is survived by her children:  Max, Amelia and Jeremy.  Grieving her loss are her mother, Cynthia Hoffman Sords, her sister, Robin Viall, and her aunt Marti Hoffman Wieschowski along with her father, Jeffrey Sords (Maureen) and step-siblings, William and Margaret Reiser.  Amy was the granddaughter of Jeanne Hoffman Settles, Fred Hoffman (deceased) and William Settles (deceased) along with Helen and Joseph Sords (each deceased).  Amy was also the niece of Darlene Gilleland (Harry deceased) and David Sords (Margie).  Her numerous cousins reside in Ohio, Michigan, Texas, and New Hampshire.  Amy was also loved and will be missed by her godmother, Maureen McGuire (Barry), her godfather, Boris Slogar (Christine), and her abundance of friends in Northeast Ohio and the Charlotte, NC area.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 30 at 10:00 AM at St. Ladislas Catholic Church, 2345 Bassett Rd., Westlake, Ohio.  Family will greet friends and loved ones in the front atrium of the church starting at 9:30.

If inclined, donations in memory of Amy can be made to The Edna House for Women, 2007 W. 65th St., Cleveland, Ohio 44102.

There are no words that can never be spoken and how much that beautiful soul of Amy meant to my family and me. She was a mother figure to my daughter Hayley, they bonded so well. A bond so strong it'll never be broken Hayley will forever carry Amy's name with honor.
For myself I just want to personally thank Amy for loving me as if I was flawless. She sure was the light to my path. I don't know exactly how to word what Amy meant to me, but if I could I would do it all over again with her without a doubt.
Love You Amy Always & Forever!
